If you're in the Oculus desktop app, that only shows Rift games, which are PCVR.
If you're on the website, Quest and Rift have their own storefronts, so make sure you click the correct one for the platform you want to buy for. In short, pay attention to what storefront you are shopping in. Any HMD can connect to it without having to use a 3rd party program to 'break in'. Steam VR on the other hand is part of Steam, and is universal. It doesn't work for all Rift games, to my knowledge. Yes, I'm aware of the 3rd party program ReVive which lets you bypass that lockout. The difference between the Rift store and Steam store is that the Rift store is exclusively for Oculus HMD.
Cross-Buy is an Oculus Storefront feature that lets you buy some games for both PCVR and Quest 2 Stand Alone VR at no additional cost. In addition, games bought in the Steam Store are not Cross-Buy compatible at all. Games bought in the Steam store can't be downloaded onto a Quest, even if the game in question is also available on the Quest. It can be used as a PCVR headset, but all PCVR games such as anything on Steam or anything in the Rift store require a computer to play. It has it's own game ecosystem and doesn't require a computer to use. On the other hand, it's free so feel free to go into the store and download it on your Quest 2 as well.ģ.
